Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Logbook

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Logbook

(0)
A Logbook designed to be used as an alternative quick-reference/in collaboration with the eDofE. It simplifies everything, as it used to be before it went online. It is a quick-reference book detailing all three sections, training, requirements, ideas for each section, expedition training (including fitness training plans) and expedition criteria check-list. It has been an excellent tool for my students to use, mostly because the eDofE can take time uploading. As the DofE states, the eDofE does not need to be necessarily uploaded until later, when you can do it in bulk, therefore make use of this logbook , then transfer it all to the eDofE at a later date. It is also easier as Assessors can sign-off students hours as they go. 24 pages in length and can edit to your specific school/centre.

ESL: Developing Physical Education Language

(0)
A resource to be used for peer assessment during lessons, in particular as a plenary resource when teaching ESL learners. I use this at my school to encourage verbal conversation looking at structuring sentences correctly. It can also be used to encourage drawing out key terminology especially for GCSE and A Level moderations when pupils are verbally questioned. It has been adapted from a course I am doing, called the TESMC.

Primary Swimming Resource (for the entire school, inc. assessment crib sheets)

(0)
12 levels of swimming resources for complete non-confident beginner up to club level. These 12 resources go through a series of progressions for all Primary-age students to work through, leading to school-made certificates that can be awarded in-school, leading to cost-effective use of resources. The 12 cards should be laminated and made use of on the pool side by teachers, followed by the 12 assessment cribs to input your results and show the progressions made by students in lesson time. An excellent resource that meets NCPE and ASA standards, as well as giving students a challenge to work towards which is easy to track as well as deliver. An extra idea is to personalise the levels instead of using 1-12. You could make use of House Colours, sea creatures (level 12 could be Shark for example) or any other adaptations you wish to use. Not only does it focus on swimming, but also personal survival and lifesaving skills. They can be used alongside the RLSS Rookie Lifesaver scheme.
